(31,298 posts)he would make a date with the investigators. He is a private citizen and speak anytime he wants. I don't trust any republicon. I'm still trying to suss out his ulterior motives.

Just my trying to think like a traitor.
If he wanted to testify he would testify.

(31,298 posts)Yes, you really have to sit with being a traitor to have those kinds of thoughts. I'm sure they are as natural as breathing for him.

(14,565 posts)but only if he really has nothing to say about Rumps treachery, and I believe he does. And he isnt the type to forgive and forget.
He may be in a quandary though trying to think of a way to screw both Rump and Democrats.

(24,884 posts)There's a lot of play-acting going on all the time.
And Bannon, just like lil lindsay or jeb sessions, or any other (r)epuglicon, can change stories and sides when they hear the sound of real money.

That would be good if he is honest, but if he is acting like the lying Neo-con bastard he has always been it may not be so good.
I wouldn't rule out that he may be a mole for Trump. Hard to trust someone with his record.

(17,802 posts)One theory is that he wants the cover of judicial order so it doesn't look like he is doing the libs bidding by knifing a gop potus.
But I think once he gets the court order, anything he mentions to the house will automatically be cleared for him to put in his book. He is under both NDA and nat sec restrictions on what he can disclose. With a court order, anything he even mentions in the house can be fully covered in a book.
It's money in the bank for him.

I pray Khasshogi's family sees justice.

Certainly Bolton has info that would surprise and negative towards Trump but what he will offer will aid the GOP, aid warmongering, harm the Democratic party, and be Bolton self-serving. Bolton is that type o guy.
We and the nation and the World are better off the less Bolton has any influence on anything. He is a nasty asshole.

(10,012 posts)The sooner Bolton is removed forever from any public influence the better.
Bolton in the impeachment / anti-Trump mix seems a risk factor to me rather than a plus.
Tis opinion is based upon decades of Bolton plus the history of his presence in the media; Bolton's role ofttimes appears just to mess with our heads, to make the unacceptable palatable, and to pander to other assholes.
Don't like nor trust the guy or anyone who gives him a platform for influence.

(8,872 posts)that Trump has leverage over. Bolton is not insider enough to have the goods on corruption like Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar conspiracies. They exist, IMHO, but Bolton would not have been in on the super secret stuff.
He may have been witness to corroborating evidence on SA and Prince and Ukraine...but doubt he partook in backchannel discussions. He's no fan of Russia, so would have been kept away from all that.
