100% effective. People still found ways through it.

This woman needs to see the videos of Trevor Noah on how well Trump's border wall does (not) work.

One tells about drug dealers sawing through the wall and the idiotic response Trump gave.

The other tells about Mexicans stealing parts of the wall to use as protection around their houses from criminals. It's so hilarious that it brought me to tears.

The East German Border Command started building the Berlin Wall on August 13, 1961. They never really stopped building it; only on November 10, 1989, did the Border Command stop improving it. (The Wall opened the night before.)

During that period, over 5,000 people escaped from East Germany across it - and part of the fortification was lethal.

There is absolutely no fucking way the people of the United States will stand for machine guns, guard towers, man-eating dogs, land mines, fence sections connected to 440-volt power, or some of the other more entertaining border reinforcements the Berlin Wall had to be installed on the US border. Nor do we have the biggest advantage the East German Border Command had: they were trying to keep Germans in. Germans are an orderly people and the East Germans had most of the necessities of life. The people Trump is trying to keep out have nothing left to lose.
