Former Alabama star and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram essentially guaranteed that the Crimson Tide would beat rival LSU in Saturdays meeting at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Ravens running back went as far as to call LSU a redheaded stepchild.
So, yeah, he was confident.
But after the Tigers handed Alabama a 46-41 loss at home snapping a 31-game home winning streak Ingram waited little time to explain what went wrong for Alabama. It just didnt have anything to do with the action on the field.
He blamed President Donald Trump.

Trump was in attendance for Saturdays game his third trip to a sporting event in as many weeks and was greeted with a mostly positive reception in Alabama after getting loudly booed at the World Series and UFC 244. Immediately after Trump was introduced in Tuscaloosa, the game went off the rails for Alabama with Tua Tagovailoa fumbling in the red zone.

(7,583 posts)Bama would have easily won. Trump is bad juju no matter where he goes - I view him as evil and it certainly did not do anything positive for football or this great football game.
Having said that it was a good game. LSU has a great team and great coach. Admittedly as a Bama fan it is hard to take a loss - it doesn't happen very often.
Roll Tide and Go Tigers!!
