This is way too early. Watch the "climate deniers" be out in full force saying how "there is no such thing as global warming. Look at how cold it is."

I'm lucky that Veterans day is a company holiday where I work so I'm home on the couch. Be safe everyone who has to drive in this! The first storms always seem the worst because the drivers forget how to drive and the snow removal crews seem to struggle with their first time on the routes too.

(12,949 posts)Had our own carpet and upholstery biz fo years there. Retired. Needed to find a lower cost of living place. My wife and I hike, kayak and just generally love being outside. Hated traffic and way too many people around. So Hale checked all the boxes.
My DIL wondered what we did all day also...answer is whatever we want to do. Getting ready to expand my Farmacy of medicinals plants. We hike 3 to 5 miles a day, have wonderful rivers and lakes to kayak on. Bake bread, read books, listen to great music. Very eventful days
llmart
(17,570 posts)I'm retired also and have no problem filling my days. I'm an avid reader, volunteer at the library, hike or walk at the metropark nearly every day, listen to whatever music I'm in the mood for at any given time, cook or not cook, whatever I want.
I'm surprised you thought Milford was busy. Seemed sort of rural the one time I was there.

llmart
(17,570 posts)Just kidding. I actually think I would be bored with all sunny weather and warm most of the time. I think that has a lot to do with growing up with snow and cloudy days. I lived in the South for several years and there were only two snowy days the entire time I lived there (NC). It was the best of both worlds since I could be in the mountains within a 2-hour drive if I really wanted to see snow or ski.
shanti
(21,797 posts)right about now! This is when the rainy season usually starts and there's not been a drop, not even a cloudy sky. I hope it's not the start of a new drought
