Only two fires in the woodstove so far. I leave the door open in the mornings
so the cats can go in and out. Usually the temps go from hot to cold with
no middle ground. This is the first mild fall weather I remember for a long time.

Had our own carpet and upholstery biz fo years there. Retired. Needed to find a lower cost of living place. My wife and I hike, kayak and just generally love being outside. Hated traffic and way too many people around. So Hale checked all the boxes.
My DIL wondered what we did all day also...answer is whatever we want to do. Getting ready to expand my “Farm”acy of medicinals plants. We hike 3 to 5 miles a day, have wonderful rivers and lakes to kayak on. Bake bread, read books, listen to great music. Very eventful days
