mueller may not prosecute it, but that is hardly relevant to the impeachment topic.

oh, the investigation is over, so who cares if people lied under oath during it?

The Dems have decided not to pursue this matter ...They have chosen to not include the 10 instances where Trump obstructed Justice during the Russia Investigation …..Hence I have concluded the matter has been closed and Trump has gotten away with it ……

plus, i'm not sure that we can say that a decision to focus impeachment on certain charges means he's "gotten away with" other things.

keep in mind that impeachment is a political process, not a judicial one. if he's impeached it will be for many, many reasons, the official charges being only one part of the many, many reasons. for example, his pissing off the vast majority of americans will be among those reasons, and if he's removed, his pissing off a number of republican senators will be a key reason. betraying the kurds and handing the middle east to russia will be a key reason as well. lots of reasons for his impeachment and/or removal won't be listed as an official charge, but it all adds up.

also, the next attorney general appointed by a democratic president could go after him on it. unless and until a president pence pardons him or the statute of limitations runs out, i'd say it's quite premature to say he's gotten away with it.

if you want to say you think he *will* get away with it, feel free to make a prediction. but as we only just found out about it, i don't see how you can put that in the past tense.

I believe his legal jeopardy will involve his dubious financial activity before he became President ………..There is a New York State Grand Jury presently investigating his financial shenanigans …..

there's a reason why he keeps doubling down on the crazy and on the criminal and on the corruption.

because he's in way too deep to get out of it any other way.

Aside from the "which one do you mean", you have to deal with intent and failure to recall.

And to a criminal standard we may never get there.

But impeachment doesn't require that standard. The "stinks to high heaven" standard is quite sufficient.
