4. I've been through a flood in Venice.

The water in San Marco was ankle deep, so I went barefoot. It's still worth visiting. Cleaning up and repairs after this will take some time, though.

5. I was lucky enough to visit it in January 1967.

Before the onslaught of tourist and other issues. The hostel was closed for the winter and I ended up sleeping in the police station. What an amazing experience.
