I have mixed emotions tonite. Sadness, but yet with a glimmer of hopeful expectation. Sad that it has come to this fork in the road in our nation.

I think this point doesn't get expressed often enough. This is not fun. For me, there's no glee involved. It is sad that we have come to this solemn place in the history of our nation. Like you, I feel hope, and I will watch the proceedings tomorrow in anticipation of increased hopefulness. But this is not joyful.
