Which is the well-known phrase: "It's all over when the fat lady sings," which itself is a reference to hefty divas of grand opera singing an aria in the last act.

The lady in red looked like she'd be natural for the part. But I guess my timing was off, because my joke fell flat.

I just couldn't tell if this was the action of an individual or something the Republicans initiated to make a circus out of the impeachment hearings.
