"The Last Picture Show"

I shot this in the Texas panhandle today. I really like it. This is a rough draft. I'll spend some time on this image when I get back home off this multi-week shooting trip.

To be honest, not all good. Hot, humid nights being attacked by swarms of mosquitos always comes to mind. But mostly good times as a kid.

The skeeters would be repelled, but you could keep watching the movie while you breathed in the toxic fumes.

My little dog like ta blew away west of Amarillo last year.

Lovely picture, though. Flag is terrific!

Just circumnavigated Texas again. Different roads this time. Bad weather for photography.

Favorites: Marfa and other little towns in that west Texas corner

Biggest area covered: Panhandle with the Llano Estacado and Palo Duro/Caprock Canyons

Over-rated: Paris, Texas

Under-rated: Alpine

Absolutely sucked: Texarkana

Brilliant, that really has my mouth dropping. All that time looking out of an airplane has given you God's eye. Bravo!

I'm kicking myself for not walking in and shooting the drive-in screen from the projection booth side. But I'm happy with the images I got. Lots of room to run with this one.
