They ARE right wing crazies. There was a time that political thought was the Republican Party strung along racists, religious fanatics and other right wing groups so they could get elected and do things like tax cuts and regulation pull backs.
But it is becoming apparent that the Party isn't using these people for their own ends. The Party is those people.
