Jon Meacham nails the distinction between Republicans and yesterday's witnesses.

I happened to catch this comment from presidential biographer Jon Meacham earlier on Morning Joe. I've been chuckling about it ever since.

He was comparing the level of competence, character, and integrity of the two witnesses yesterday, Ambassador Taylor and Deputy Assistant Secretary Kent, with the Republicans who were asking them questions.

He referred to Taylor and Kent as "the wise ones" and the Republicans as "the wise guys", alluding to them as undoubtedly taking their marching orders from their mafioso boss, Don the Con.

It was a great comparison.

The Dumbest Don may have tuned Jacketoff Jordan's screech for just the right pitch.

From Asheville. This tag needs to stick on Jordan. Perfectly attached to a pediphile like Jordan. I hope it was radio appropriate, Shaun did not dump me, so spread it far. Libs are much better at this than Childboy TRump.

Stephanie’s caller only mentioned something he saw on DU, without crediting a specific poster. This thread was the first and only place I’d seen it.

or an Executive Editor at Random House. I thought he was more of a presidential historian type like Michael Beschloss.

It definitely explains his way with words.
