(17,858 posts)but reading your post, it came across to me as the Prez had a hand in this.
I'm obviously wrong so I apologize and I'll go ahead and delete the offending post.
As to why these things happen? Easy access to firearms to those that shouldn't have them!!!
THANK YOU NRA!!!!

(36,975 posts)He was only 15, so I'm guessing it's a case of mental illness combined with access to firearms.

(13,126 posts)I just cant. My whole being goes out to her parents. And to the community.
God, this is the world my son is growing up in. Im completed deflated.
Adding that my son refuses to use his locker. He carries all of his things im his backpack because he says i could use it as a shield. This is not how children should have to live...or how they should die

(14,348 posts)The 1% is not threatened or affected by these mass shootings. As such, they never implore Republicans to act. If these shootings targeted the 1%, they would scream and Republicans would finally join Democrats in acting on this national scourge. And, just to make it clear, I am not advocating for these types of shootings. I am simply saying these are the only types of shootings that will bring Republicans to the table on this issue.

(36,975 posts)After all, everything is about those big tax cuts.

(14,348 posts)These shootings never (or almost never) happen at private schools. If they did, and the children of the 1% were now being targeted regularly, that might prompt the 1% to act.

(63,221 posts)Until these mass shooters start going after the people who support unrestricted access to firearms and 2nd amendment fanatics, nothing will change. You of course notice that no guns are allowed at NRA meetings. Kind of interesting.

(6,420 posts)Theyre still in elementary but have been in lockdown until recently. I dont know what to tell them to reassure them when I see them later. Im sure I will think of something. It appears the school district and sheriffs dept have handled everything well so far.
No word yet on motive. I just dont understand the need to take others out. Prayers for the family of the deceased girl. I feel terrible for all the students as well.
