At DCReport weve scored an advance copy of the most anticipated book of the year, A Warning by Anonymous, A Senior Trump Administration Official. This book, which goes on sale Nov. 19, is as important, fascinating and easy to read as any book in our times.
The scariest line comes on Page 238, where the author identifies the most unwelcome visitor to the Trump White Housereason.
Crazy anecdote by idiotic tirade by telling detail gathered from behind closed doors at the White House, the author makes clear that this book is a work of duty by someone who loves America, has dedicated their life to our safety and well-being and is certain that all we hold dear is in grave danger.
He wants to do what he wants to do, consequences be damned, Anonymous writes. Trump is like a 12-year-old in an air traffic control tower, pushing the buttons of government indiscriminately, indifferent to the planes skidding across the runway and the flights frantically diverted away.

(13,417 posts)There have been no corroborating witnesses or evidence to most of Anonymous claims. It could be all fiction but since we are prone to believing the worst, we assume this is all true. If he or she was truly a patriot, they would come forward or, more importantly, they would have gone record at the time (be it n the past, present or future). This is not a whistle blower situation. This is a person seeking profit from unsubstantiated stories. If they cannot prove or certify these items, we should ignore his/her words and we definitely should not buy this book.

(63,836 posts)Why wouldn't the person go behind closed doors and report these sick actions to someone.

(13,417 posts)As Charles Pierce wrote, Anonymous can anonymously bite me.
If they had real patriotism, they would publicly resign in protest and call out Trump for his crimes.
Otherwise, who knows what the hell this book is really about.

(33,310 posts)Dems already know this, Never-Trumpers already know this.

(13,417 posts)Again, all of this stuff could be fiction. Even if it is true, this person did next to nothing to stop these the horrible actions of this administration. They are no patriot or hero. They are simply spouting gossip.

If you don't want to read it, don't. Many more of us may be open-minded enough to read it and decide for ourselves.

(22,031 posts)You wrote, "Are Trump's tweets "the record?"
Yes, they are. The DOJ and the White House have affirmed that they are Presidential pronouncements and reflect the Administration's positions.

Regarding the book, meh. Old news and I don't want to give my money to someone working for Trump. If you choose to read it, enjoy.

Is it "old news"? Lol..You don't know that if you haven't read it...
P.S. I really don't care that some here don't want to read it...It's the air of pompous 'judgement' about it that annoys me.

" the author explains his or her motive for writing this extraordinary book is loyalty, not to Trump but to our nation."
That's great. But who (aside from us) is going to believe it? Without some proof, an annonymous book carries no weight.
Of course it can be argued that even if it were written by Jesus Christ, it wouldn't make much difference to 40+ percent of the population that can't quit him. There have been numerous books and articles already about this abomination in the White House. None of it seems to matter to them.
whathehell
(29,067 posts)Some people are interested in details, right?
I agree that, by and large, his supporters won't believe it, but I don't know if that matters much in terms of its value.. For those who want him out, I think it could increase their resolve to affect that ..Just my take.

Like Charlie Pierce said, I'm done being shocked/angry/outraged over Trump's antics because it's not like he even tried to pretend he would be any different from the Trump we saw on the campaign trail... No, my eternal wrath and ire is reserved solely for the people smart enough to know better yet still went along anyway, and the people who continue to shill for him today...
