Trump: Impeachment has been 'very hard on my family'
The president's comments came one day after the first day of public testimony, and just hours ahead of the Friday appearance of former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
Trump says impeachment 'unraveling' at campaign rally

BOSSIER, La. — President Donald Trump suggested Thursday that the impeachment process was taking a personal toll, calling impeachment a "problem" that had been "very hard on my family."

“I have one problem. And it has been very hard on my family," he said at a campaign rally in Louisiana, adding that "impeachment, to me, is a dirty word."

"It’s been very unfair, very hard on my family. Me, it’s my whole life, it’s crazy," he said. "What a life I lead. You think this is fun, don’t you? But it’s been very hard on my family. Very, very hard."

He did not elaborate on any specific impact.

Despite his statement that impeachment had been tough on him personally, he claimed that Republicans in Congress want to see the process dragged out because they believe it is helping their poll numbers. "You know what they are doing now? 'Sir, our poll numbers are going through the roof, could we keep this going?' I said do me a favor, could we get it ended?” he said.

“Based on the poll numbers, the people of this country aren’t buying it,” he added of impeachment.

Joe Biden lost three children and a wife and he still has a heart as big as Texas...you are conniving self dealing piece of garbage who cages children. I hope to God there is a hell so you can spend eternity there. I was lukewarm on impeachment but as more and more revelations come out...I don't see there is a choice. Trump may not realize this, but as unpaid, unofficial, un-whatever the fuck they are Senior Advisors to the President, we don’t need to have any special little impeachment hearings or anything to put them in federal custody for their crimes. And working for their nightmare of a father, they commit roughly five felonies an hour - it’s expected of mafia associates like Trump’s kids are.

So, in the aftermath of Trump’s impeachment (and I suspect that if the evidence we present is good enough, the 22 Republican senators who are up for election next year will decide their seats mean more to them than covering for that...whatever the hell he is...and will vote to convict) Ivana’s children and Jared Kushner can all be placed in handcuffs and dragged off to cells.

Republican senators won’t vote to convict unless he loses the base. As long as he has the base, voting to convict would be the end of their political careers.

He's just making it up as he goes along. Also, the crowd while applauding and so on at the right time, didn't really seem enthusiastic. More like robotic...……….
