This will be included in the Articles of Impeachment. When these hearings are over the evidence will be overwhelming to say the least.
The Republicans in the Senate, the entire party will be committing political suicide if they do not convict.
The power of open hearings is undeniable. You never know what they will expose.

(15,574 posts)he doesn't think any of these 'rules' or 'laws' apply to him. He simply DNGAF!

(28,793 posts)he has no moral compass whatsoever, and really has not figured out that the law applies to him. his whole life story has validated that belief. more than once i have responded to one of his dumbass tweets that just because he's always gotten away with it does not mean that he always will.

The answer? Coo, coo ,coo!

(58,653 posts)Much like young people will test boundaries. An adult narcissist is someone who has never found any boundaries to their behavior, so they will continue to stretch the envelope of "allowable" behavior until there is pushback.
In Trump's case, there never has really been any pushback. He's always gotten away with it.

(6,377 posts)There may be one or two vulnerable GOP senators that swing, but not anywhere near the 20 needed for removal. Trump is popular in most red states and voting to remove would be the end of those senators political careers.

(4,379 posts)Trump just committed a High Crime in an impeachment hearing. The hearings have just started, there is a lot bad news still coming about Trump and all the people who are just as stupid as he is.

They may decide to switch gears so that the Republicans in the Senate can have cover.

(25,246 posts)it can't be called 'witness tampering' because the witness couldn't see his tweet. Only Schiff bringing it up in real time - means he/Schiff is tampering with the witness. That's how they're going to spin this.

(1,089 posts)I think his live criming will actually play well with the rubes. "See, that's my guy! He don't take no shit from no woman!" These morons who worship him don't know/care any more about what witness tampering is than they do what it's like to live on the moon.
I hope that the 'swingable' 15 percent or so of the country is the group that finally gets to the end of their collective rope on this. The imbeciles that have tied their very existences to Dump will literally not care if he literally does shoot someone on 5th Avenue. I think that's the truest thing he's ever said.

(17,984 posts)That was his answer to Jordan insisting they needed to hear from the Whistleblower who started it all.
Welch invited Trump to come in and testify as he started it all. Even Mike Turner laughed.

(46,044 posts)His long-time pal was convicted of witnesses tampering. I thought "impeach himself" was nonsense, but he keeps doing it.

(586 posts)even though we usually have a general idea of what will happen, public hearings can also produce info that we didn't know before. Like when John Dean said there was a cancer on the presidency or when Taylor told us a few days ago about the phone call we didn't know about before! And these public statements can be very powerful when you hear them directly from the witnesses!
