Unfortunately, I find a lot of US media too tainted, left or right leaning, bothsiderisms in action, etc, to get a clear picture.

US citizens might do well to look for Internet streams from other countries, like the UK, English versions of Al Jazeera, etc, to get a better, more comprehensive picture.
Even Russian media, to get an insight into what their population is being fed.
