The family with the daughter Zoe with the heart defect. Jesus ripped me to pieces. (watching on line MSNBC)
The Republicans want to protect the fetus, but let such a beautiful star die if they repeal Obama care.
Fuck them, fuck them, fuck them.

(24,773 posts)I was ripped to pieces, too. Zoe was even crying while her mom told us her story. She herself must have cried because of fear of an Rmoney dictatorship.

(3,938 posts)How can anyone call themselves pro-life, yet deny that little girl insurance? Heartless bastards.
Ms. Toad
(34,093 posts)who would deny my daughter care because it is funded via an insurance-or-tax plan. My daughter's care costs $40,000- $60,000 a year. It will be around a half million the year she needs a transplant, and around $100,000 a year after that for the rest of her life.
They feel sorry for her - but one says health care is not a right because that makes him a slave to my daughter, and the other is afraid that when she retires she will be unable to pay the premiums for herself; she's healthy and doesn't need insurance so why should she be forced to buy it.
It is very hard to try to have rational discussions with these friends, but my daughter's life depends on it - so don't fool yourself that it is JUST the Republicans who want to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

(32,733 posts)understand how the bill affects their lives.
Ms. Toad
(34,093 posts)My daughter is in college now - her 5th year - and finally finishing semesters without a crisis because the Affordable Care Act allows her to stop pretending that she can manage a full time load (which she had to do previously, because if she dropped below full time she lost her insurance).
Once she is out, she has a realistic hope of getting insurance she can afford (or premium assistance if she can't.) She could never work full time, and not much less than full time would have gotten her access to insurance.
