General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI am very concerned about the President's health
He prefers greasy fattening foods, and he has said for years that he thinks exercise shortens your life
Cardiac tests indicate arterial plaque, and his deteriorating speech problems suggest vascular issues may be having cognitive effects. His erratic, impulsive, and increasingly angry style also suggests a psychological reaction to health problems
He was given anti-cholesterol medication some time ago and was encouraged to make some lifestyle changes
Then, last year, his doctor suddenly reported him as an inch taller than previously reported. Interestingly, using his reported weigh at that time, with his previously reported height, would lead to a BMI in the obese range, whereas using his reported weigh at that time, with his newly reported height, would lead to a BMI just shy of the obese range
Recent photographs do not indicate he has been successfully losing weight; and the natural guess should be that he is ever more obese, which makes yesterday's heart attack scare seem especially frightening
The stresses of the Presidency traditionally exact a real toll from office holders, aging them more quickly than usual; and since Mr Trump's health habits have been substandard for many years, the toll might be exceptionally high in his case
It would certainly be a tragedy if Mr Trump was reduced by some cerebral accident to a vacant incompetency or if a serious heart problem prevented him from driving his golf cart across the greens that he so loves
Might not his happiness be better served if he retired sooner, rather than later, and returned to New York or Palm Beach or Antenora, or wherever it is he now calls home, to be surrounded by the love of his wife or daughter, while enjoying the profits of his DC hotel and his university and his charity, secure in the knowledge that his son-in-law Jared and his sons were running his real estate empire?
Surely we Americans can hope for a happy ending here

(16,886 posts)...stroke (heart attack not possible since he has none) and he will be rendered wearing diapers, a lopsided face and paralysis and unable to walk or communicate and move without it looking like the disabled reporter he mocked and mimicked - but he is left with full awareness and no ability to communicate anything and he is trapped in a prison of his own sick mind.

(32,079 posts)He's already wearing the diapers. Lock him up in the Super Max, where he'll have his abilities to communicate and move about, but he won't be allowed to do so without consent of the warden. (If there was a "God", that warden would be Hillary Clinton.) Let him spend his days locked up in that tiny cell, on a concrete bed, with only a slit of a window. It's the same effect, yet nobody will have to spend their days wiping his bloated ass, a fate which few people deserve. Unless, of course it's one of his rancid spawn, or one of his toadies, like Lindsey Graham or Devin Nunes. I couldn't think of a more appropriate fate for those assholes.

(16,886 posts)I sadly confess that the evil of this man has made my imagination go to new levels of what I wish for him and his whole criminal cabal. This comment of mine was the nicest I could put down.
But I believe that the perpetrator of crimes, especially ones that have hurt so many, should mirror and reflect a punishment similar of the same level of what they did, but really make them think about and suffer in a similar way that goes against their worst fears. And that its done by "the universe" as opposed to others. I want to also see him in prison and have no money, no freedom, no TV, no audience, no luxury, etc. But the idea of him being "imprisoned with his own evil thoughts and no way to communicate" and to be humiliated as he soils himself and looks a way that he himself has mocked - well, that just feels like poetic karmic justice.

(13,565 posts)You think he should just walk free after engineering the most heinous attack America has ever faced from within; a criminal conspiracy to commit treason without regard to the Constitution, Rule of Law, Oath of Office, on behalf of a foreign adversary and all meant to render Trump one of the world's strong men????
You really think that?
And you don't foresee his cult rising up to take revenge on his behalf if he is still free? You don't see the dangers ahead if he and his co-conspirators are not held accountable to the fullest extent of the law?
This is treason we are seeing. TREASON. And we are supposed to let that go?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
The Rosenbergs were executed for much less.
