Republican congressman calls new details about Trump revealed in impeachment testimony 'alarming'

A Republican member of one of the House committees involved in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump said Sunday that information provided about Trump during a closed-door deposition of a former National Security Council official "is alarming" and "not OK."

"Well, of course, all of that is alarming. As I've said from the beginning, I think this is not okay. The President of the United States shouldn't even in the original phone call be on the phone with the president of another country and raise his political opponent," Rep. Mike Turner, an Ohio Republican, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."

"So, no, this is not OK," he added on Sunday.

What are the odds that Rep. Mike Turner will soon be announcing his retirement to "spend more time with his family"?

dropping nukes on our allies, and shutting down newspapers that criticize him. Golly! Nobody likes that! It sure seems like it might be inappropriate! But I don't think it's impeachable! And it would just be so disrespectful to his supporters to remove him from office for that!"

So concerned that he’ll throw his full support being Trump if asked.

He says it’s “alarming” but not impeachable. So what’s the recourse? If a president is behaving in an alarming way and there’s no punishment, that to me is alarming.

They just won`t. We need 15 re puke senators to vote impeachment. It will never happen. Look at the millions of so called religious evangelicals who will vote to reelect him and they don`t give a damn what he did. The senators are scared to death of them and are afraid to not do what they want. What a sick bunch of bastards the evangelicals are.
