Don't know why I see this guy's name come up so often, but he's usually brought up along with Glenn Greenwald, Michael Tracey, Matt Talibi, Tim Canova and the like. In other words, "liberals" who think we corporate DNC sheep stooges are being bought out, and seem to find more time attacking us than Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin.
Anyways, this was his recent take on the Roger Stone verdict:

Roger Stone was found guilty on charges stemming from his false claim of a Wikileaks backchannel. In reality, he had none. Let that sink in: the top proponents of Trump-Russia-Wikileaks "collusion" are now pretending that this verdict doesn't undermine their conspiracy theory.

So in the mind of Aaron Mate, the Roger Stone verdict means that Stone lying about having an intermediary to Wikileaks meant that--checking this again--he was just making this all up.
So Roger Stone was happy to lie to Congress, get convicted for it, and face years in prison....for something that never happened.
I mean, it makes so much sense! We all strive to get convicted and go to jail for things we never did, right?
Or--hear me out--perhaps it meant that Roger Stone lied about having an intermediary to Wikileaks because (drum roll please) he was his own intermediary to Wikileaks.
Naah, I'm just going to go with Mate's theory, which is that Roger Stone just really, really, really wanted to go to prison for no particular reason.
