I don't have a lot of time to follow hearings in real time but whatever happens, is there a guesstimate on when a vote to impeach would take place?

(21,998 posts)The process is like this.
The Intelligence Committee has been holding hearings and taking testimony. When they're finished, they will vote on whether to forward Articles of Impeachment to the House Judiciary Committee. If the Judiciary Committee votes to present those Articles to the full House, there will be a majority vote of Impeachment.
Should that vote be in the affirmative, the Articles will be sent to the Senate for a trial.
How long do you think that will take?
forgive my ignorance on the process. Didn't know if it would take weeks, months, ect

(21,998 posts)Upon rereading my earlier post, I think I was dogmatic. I'm sorry.
This process takes time and that's on our side. As more and more malfeasance is revealed, it will strengthen the public's support for impeachment and removal.
Trump is an idiot. He's also profoundly evil. He needs to go.
We're on the same side, evertonfc! Have a good evening.

(21,529 posts)that Dems want the impeachment vote sometime between thanksgiving and christmas. not sure how many more witnesses the plan on calling
as for the Senate trial there is really no way to know. i don't think it will take long because i think mcconnel is just going to call it all a nothing burger and get the vote over with.

(29,692 posts)so Democrats couldn't campaign before the primaries and Speaker Pelosi announced that the hearing might go through the primaries; so take that, Mitch.
