John Dean looks confused

John Dean on CNN looks confused. Back in his day, they would have long ago run Trump out of office on a rail. He flat out says what we already know is worse than Nixon. Then the "younger" panel has to explain to him how Fox, Twitter, and general assholes like Jordan and Nunes change things. You almost feel sorry for Dean. The new America, where a crook openly does crimes in the White House, is something he can't understand. Join the club, John.

He is the kind of person who doesn't understand when people act like assholes.

I think Dean can't even relate to the assholery that's going on now in the GOP.

he wrote a really good book, Conservatives Without Conscience, from which my takeaway is that republicans are authoritarians. did i add the sociopath back then, or only since trump? I don't know. but he shouldn't seem confused because of all people he saw this coming.

during Watergate. 1946 to 1964. John Dean was born in the late 30's. Nixon and his cronies were all greatest generation or silent generation.

Kids and this "boomer" business. Me and my Gen X brethren have been cleaning up their mess for far longer than anyone else.

I thought this slow-motion train wreck we're in started with Reagan. Although I must admit to not knowing what demographic put him over the top.

I need to Google some examples of okay boomer. I actually think it's kind of amusing, from the little I know about it.

There is a break at age 30.

A minority of those under 30 do not support Reagan. In 1980, that would be folks born after 1950 - meaning boomers.

It was the boomer's elder who brought Reagan into office, not the Boomer generation.

would vote for him?

Unless they’re that gullible, or stupid, willfully uninformed (Pox Noise viewers), racist, sexist, jingoistic, homophobic, or as petty and vindictive and vulgar as he is.

He acknowledges the conservatives have moved far to the right and deny reality. Trump would have been booted fifty years ago and Nixon would have survived today.
