An important part of LTC Vindman's testimony

Earlier in his testimony he described how he was so concerned about Trump’s shakedown of the Ukrainian president that he reported his concerns up his chain of command.

In the paragraph I have cited, he goes on to say (paraphrasing a bit) “If I were in Russia and reported wrongdoing by senior officials, I would be killed.” By saying this, he is saying Trump, Fox, Congressional Republicans and everyone else who is attacking him and others who are testifying are no different from murderous Russian thugs. And he is right.

In response to threats against Vindman, police in the DC suburb where he lives are maintaining 24-hour patrols around his home. Dept of the Army has announced they are considering moving the Vindman family into quarters on an unidentified DC area military base for their security.

So -- this is what Trump has brought us to.
