Ok, let's say Trump is impeached and removed from office, or that he resigns "for health reasons."
Or, let's say Trump is impeached and not convicted in the Senate.
Then what?
With everything that's coming out, it seems pretty certain that Pence was in on the extortion plan and that Barr and Pompeo have probably committed any number of crimes and/or impeachable offenses.
What does the House do? Leave things along after the final outcome - whatever it is - or run out the clock, so to speak, with impeachment hearings on all the other dirtbags?

(63,645 posts)This is our one shot. Trump is (almost certainly) going to get impeached and then the Senate will have its say. If the Senate does not remove Trump from office, the House is not going to try a second time.
Trump goes down in history as the third president to get impeached. Then we have a presidential election in November of next year.
All of these folks, including President Trump, might be subject to criminal prosecution at some point in the future, but that is far from certain.
