About The Call From Sondland To Trump Where Trump Says - No Quid Quo Pro.....

Last edited Wed Nov 20, 2019, 07:53 PM - Edit history (1)

What was the timing of that call? Was Quid Quo Pro being talked about in the media before that call? If so - was the call a set-up so that Trump could say he didn't want Quid Quo Pro just for PresZ to do his job.

It just sounds very fishy to me. Quid Quo Pro as a phrase doesn't seem like something that Trump would come up with by himself. It almost sounds like he was told to say it so it could be used as an excuse.

Does anybody know? What was the timing of that call?

1. I don't know the timing, but I know a lawyer got into Trump's ear with that specific language.

Or a legal mind.

3. It was after he got caught

The call happened more than a week after then Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire informed the White House counsel about the existence of a whistleblower complaint detailing how Trump abused his power by trying to leverage the Ukrainians into doing political favors for him.

5. Exactly. That was terminology fed to Trump for covering it up AFTER

someone had blown the whistle and they were scrambling to cover it up

10. Yes, a couple Dems clarified that this phone call was after Congress started investigating

So the phone call does not exonerate Trump since by then he knew about the whistleblower complaint and Congress launching inquiries, so he was being defensive in denying what he knew were allegations against him.

4. It was after he was caught red-handed.

His statement was intended to provide cover - after the fact. Too little, too late.

6. I'm sure Trump never said "Quid Quo Pro"

before this in his entire life. I'm always suspicious of anything he says over and over again.

7. I am pretty sure that call was done so tRump could

CYA. Cover your ass.

Tell me he wasn’t just looking to have something on the record that would be repeated to get him Off the hook. It sure looked that way.

8. September 9th

Within the infamous 5 hour delay between texts of Taylor and Sondland. Also the day of the whistleblower complaint getting to Congress. The times show 12am to 5am, Eastern time maybe?
