1. I am now completely convinced that Lindsay Graham is either being blackmailed with pictures of him

having sex with minors or a dead body - or he has been replaced by a body double or alien.

Or he is an absolute Psychopath.

You cannot go from making statements like that that seem heartfelt and sincere and then do what he has been doing in the last year.

And you're either with us or you're against us. And like most republicans, he was simply too cowardly and well trained to try to be a hero.

The republican party has spent decades not only cultivating stupid, mean, and fearful lemmings as followers, some of whom run for office, but corrupting elected officials by having them support or turn a blind eye to blatant lies and hypocrisy, abject cruelty, and anti-democratic policies like voter suppression. As Ryan said, "This is how we know we’re a real family here."

None of them had far to fall in choosing to follow trump.

4. The consensus among Rs and Ds in SC

is that Lindsey is probably asexual. He has apparently never had a relationship with a woman, but it would be doubtful he could hide it if he had been actively gay all his life.
I think his disgusting behavior has a simpler, and far more common motive than sex: the lust for power.
He knows that as long as he tows the party line - which these days means sticking close to Trump - he will never lose his Senate seat. Remember that he took the Senate seat of a guy who held it until he was literally 100 years old.
The only way he could lose his seat would be the way Mark Sanford lost when he was running for his fourth term: criticize Trump, have Trump go after you on Twitter and support a far-right challenger, and then lose the primary.
