Expect to hear a lot of that from people who would once quote whole swaths of Benghazi testimony verbatim.

(16,254 posts)I'm to the point where I have to shut them out. There are still a lot of people out there who love Trump and they aren't ignorant people. They are successful and generous to their community. However, he is making money for them.
My only comment when they compliment Trump for the economy is, "How much is it going to cost you to put this country back together?"

(16,254 posts)There is a huge difference between the list of Repukes and Democrats. HUGE, or Hugely, as Trump would say.
I used that list once and shocked a solid Republican, not only by the size of the list, but the number of sex/abuse/pedophilia crimes on the list.

Some nice graphics, too, such as:

(16,254 posts)The one I was referring to listed the crime/outcome. The Repuke list was very long. I think I first saw it during the George W. reign and may have seen it one more time. It was an eye-opener.
I remember sending it to a friend who kept saying, "Both parties are corrupt." It shut her up. Since Trump, she is no longer a friend.

(16,254 posts)No charts or reference lists, just name, office, crime, outcome by party.
I had it on another computer, but wasn't able to recover everything. I hope someone has been able to keep it updated, as it was very interesting.

(102,141 posts)of testimony--read all the opening statements and at least skimmed the deposition transcripts, I am vacillating between totally burned out and anxious that there is not more announced. I am most afraid we will lose momentum.
I hope we hear from Schiff today to give us some idea what they are planning.

(14,961 posts)the election. This woman was dumb as a post and drunk on top of that, yet rambled on about Benghazi for hours. We needed their business, so I had to pretend I had no idea what she was talking about. That was pure agony.

(35,300 posts)I watch MSNBC and CNN to get the headlines then channel surf for something to get my mind off of it.
I get it we have a criminal in the WH the House has a constitutional duty to impeach him but the Republicans
control the Senate. When it goes to the Senate it will be one giant TV ad for Trump's re-election every day
and nothing will be done with Trump. It has been over three years now of one "bombshell" report after another
on Trump and nothing changes. I have almost tuned out the news all together.

(3,154 posts)I would be so depressed right now if I hadn't watched. It was gripping, patriotic and enlightening. As long as you muted a couple of repubs that is. I suspect more more proceedings to follow. We cannot let the long list of crimes stand

(219 posts)This was a letter to the editor in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch today...a typical mindset:
This nation finally has a strong man as president, the first since Ronald Reagan. And what do Democrats want to do? Impeach him. Get rid of him. Unbelievable.
You dont like his personality? Fine, but President Donald Trump has done more for this country in a very short time than anyone else in memory, including Reagan. Trump signed a bill to cut taxes, which benefits everyone. The economy is booming. Unemployment is extremely low, including among African Americans and Hispanics. There are more jobs available than there are people to fill them. The stock market is at an all-time high, which boosts most retirement plans. He is seeking an equitable trade arrangement with China, a problem previous presidents avoided. And he is trying to be sure all immigrants arrive in this country legally, as our ancestors did. America is truly great again.
But more needs to be done. For example, the infrastructure needs to be overhauled. If Democrats would step aside, Trump would tackle this problem, and more. But no, they waste time with their impeachment. President Trump can count on this vote when he runs in 2020. He should win in a landslide.
