Sounds unethical to me. If this was being tried in an actual criminal court, they would be indicted.

Defendants would love to invite the jury over their houses for covfefe and hamberders, sprinkled with a big dose of tampering and bribery.

I'm pretty sure jurors aren't supposed to accept bags of cash from the defendant's friends/family either.
