First of all, I know there are those that believe they are cowards, but I feel whomever it is, their very lives would be in danger if they were to come forward. We have a organized crime syndicate masquerading as our government, at the moment.
The message of the book is, if there were to be another 4 years of Trump, the United States as we know it will be gone.
The writer is a Republican.

(16,616 posts)Thank you for arguing there is some value in this book. I don't want to say too much about it...
I believe the author's motives are sincere. As the author explains, he/she won't make much money off the book.
I'm leaning towards a particular person as the author. I have two people in mind, but especially one.
I've ruled out two or three people who were also on my list.
Anonymous is saying exactly what you wrote.
The author does a good job of avoiding detection by not recreating specific scenes. You won't find conversational dialogue in this book; it is mostly blocks of descriptive text. The author borrows material from Woodward and Greg Miller to mix it all up, so the author didn't necessarily see everything described (and admits it).
One of the most important sentences in the introduction explains that Anonymous talks about himself/herself in the third person, so the reader cannot eliminate a particular person simply because they are described, or even criticized, in the third person. (They were almost surely going to use this device, because we're talking about a relatively small group of people).

(35,325 posts)I had already heard many of the examples of how incompetent and crazy Trump is. It is truly frightening to read that
nearly everyone in his administration and the Republican House and Senate know the man is bat shit crazy and
nobody is willing to speak up to save the country. He has fired everyone that disagrees with him. Like Anonymous wrote
"About a third of everything Trump wants to do is flat-out stupid, a third would be impossible to implement and wouldn't even solve the problem and the other third is flat-out illegal". If he gets re-elected this country will be a dictatorship. I predict the first thing the Republicans try and do is eliminate the two term limit.

(35,325 posts)is an easy and an interesting read. As soon as I finish the book I am going to share it to as many people as I can. I wonder if
if any Trumpsters would change their mind after reading it.

(14,961 posts)he cannot be re-elected. I worry it may be to late.

(35,325 posts)am also worried it is too late. What can we do if he does win he will control the military and like Barr said the other day
basically the cops should be able to do anything. I am afraid we are going to be like the demonstrators in Hong Kong in a few years.

(14,961 posts)on our side, now I'm worried that may not be enough.
I saw today, Steve Bannon is running his impeachment war room. The Devil's Bargain was a book about the election and Bannon. Many don't realize Bannon is actually very smart.
He is actually a big Maddow fan, I have always wondered, if that isn't why Trump leaves her alone.
