5. Good to hear it. I did the same thing a few weeks ago. My strongest motivation...

.. was to join the #DeleteFacebook movement. Twitter had hit upon a reasonable way to deal with lies in political advertising. Don't sell political advertising. Facebook should do the same. But I had found it tiring to scroll through ad after ad just to see some pictures of relatives. I'll wait to see them in person.

for about a year and a half or two. I used to follow George Takei but last few times I looked I could not find him. I think it is time to cancel my account.

Facebook has compiled as detailed of a psychological profile of each of its users as will ever be created. And they've sold that profile to other entities over and over. Is there a way to delete that data? Probably not.
