Why do you think Trump backed down when...

... the Secretary of the Navy and the admiral who leads the seals defied his tweet about Edward Gallagher? I was glad to get clarification that they said they did not interpret a tweet as an official order (sanity still reigns in some places!) But what was in it for Trump to back down? Something had to be in it for him.
