I wish the various media would stop using the word "investigation"

when they discuss the plot to force the government of Ukraine to make a statement about the Bidens.

It wasn't an effort to force the Ukrainians to do an "investigation."

It was an effort to force Ukraine to become complicit in a plot to SMEAR Vice President Biden and his son.

Using the word "investigation" makes it sound like there was a genuine wish to uncover something.

There wasn't.

It was an effort to smear the vice president and his family, and facts be damned.

It's an important distinction, and one that needs to be emphasized at every opportunity.
