In short, they’re saying it’s God’s will. They believe this will give Trump a pass on anything he does.

Now, my theological response to this and Christians in general would be to remember, by that argument, God also chose Judas Iscariot too. He is the one that betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. The point is, just because you believe God has chosen a person to do something, doesn’t mean that person is good or has been chosen to do good things. Even the Devil was chosen for a task.
