Departing Secretary of Energy Rick Perry praised President Donald Trump to the heavens on Sunday.

In an interview clip shown on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Perry told Ed Henry that the president was “the chosen one” sent by God to rule over America. The former Texas governor and Republican presidential rival of Trump used Old Testament kings to make his point.

Is he singing psalms to the devil who rips babies out of the arms of their parents? Is Perry praising a cruel demon who berates Gold Star families and insults the bereaved parents, the grieving widows and children of men who were killed in action?

Does Perry's God praise the misogynist who assaults women and treats them as second class citizens? What sort of God lies and proudly wallows in ignorance while selling out our country?

Starts off as "I/he would not be the leader if god didn't want me to be. So god chose me to be leader".

From that point, it's quite logical to think "If god didn't want me to (insert abhorrent action here), he wouldn't have made me/allowed me to be leader".
