As I said the other day in the same vein: Neil Gorsuch. There was just no way in hell Mitch McConnell was going to let Obama have another judge.

When asked afterward how he'd handle a similar situation during Trump's admin, Moscow Mitch said flat-out, without a trace of shame, that he'd hustle thru a conservative in record time.

Please, God, let RBG hang on.

If Clinton won, then the Garland nomination would have gone through just as it would have/should have while Obama was president. It cost McConnell nothing to delay, except for some liberal malcontents insisting on a president's constitutional prerogatives. But when the three rail billiards shot successfully drew to the inside straight on the hail mary pass and Trump won, McConnell's intransigence paid off bigly.
