whether fair criticism or not, is HEARD by several other people some of whom may very well NOT vote if they get the impression both sides are the same.
And it is tricky, for instance I dont like what Bloomberg has said about pot or strip and frisk, and I dont want that thinking in the WH, HAVING SAID THAT if for some reason he ends up the nominee, I have to act like I never thought that and support him as if I LOVE him. Cuz anything else will have the UNINTENDED (on my part it would be, some folks have this AS their intention though) consequence of planting a negative seed in the minds of anyone who hears or reads me.
Hell, I am NOT a Joe Biden supporter for several reasons NOW in the primary, but it is DANGEROUS for me to say that very often and especially dangerous for me to explain WHY because AGAIN those comments can HURT him later if he is the nominee.
The tricky part is we need to have our arguments, our "falling in love" in the primary but then we MUST "fall in line."
Right? Anybody disagree?
If you are around ANYONE who is not a fervent D party supporter DONT make negative comments about ANY of our candidates!
Please!

(35,293 posts)would call constructive critisism. But I have seen for example Telsi Gabard called a Russian agent. Not that I like her but rules are rules.

(13,862 posts)I remember in 2015, and most DUers were in agreement, that the best thing that could happen would be for the Repubs to nominate Trump because that would mean we would win about 45 states in the General Election. But of course we KNEW that Trump had no chance.
When I went to Congressman Clyburns famous fish fry in 2007, I was interested in talking to John Edwards, Hillary, and a few others. My wife and I spoke briefly to that impressive first term Senator from Illinois, but everyone knew he had no chance as he was sitting at about 2% in the polls.
So, dont think that the candidate you are trashing now has no chance to end up carrying our flag in 2020.

(2,199 posts)You just made a point of saying on a public forum that you are not a supporter of Joe Biden for several reasons:
Hell, I am NOT a Joe Biden supporter for several reasons NOW in the primary, but it is DANGEROUS for me to say that very often and especially dangerous for me to explain WHY because AGAIN those comments can HURT him later if he is the nominee.
Then, later, you add:
If you are around ANYONE who is not a fervent D party supporter DONT make negative comments about ANY of our candidates!
You do realize that even people that aren't Democrats can read what we type here, don't you?
