Melania was booed at a Be Best event in Baltimore today.

At youth opioid awareness event in Baltimore for a speech to attendees mostly of high school and middle school age, @FLOTUS was loudly booed upon introduction. Talking continued throughout her five minute remarks.

In my three years covering @FLOTUS at events, that was the worst booing she has received at a public event where she has given solo remarks.

There had to have been someone who suggested perhaps before she went public with her little contribution to her office, that she change it to "Be the Best" You know, the way we actually talk in this country. Even after it went public, she could have changed it. But its like the bubble she and her orange dotard live in will not allow them to be seconded guessed.....ever.

Be Best sounds like how a 3 year old would talk. It should be embarrasing to her to keep using it, but like her husband her arrogance dictates that everyone else is wrong, and She Right!

Trump's presidency has changed our country. In some ways for the worse. But as this shows, he can no longer rely upon other people to obey the norms he rejects.

Melania Trump does not have a right to pretend that she deserves respect.

If the monotonous tone of her voice doesn't put you to sleep, you can hear the insincerity in the way she reads off the written speech.

She left her jacket on because she couldn't wait to get out of there.

Watching her with Conan the Dog at the White House was very telling. She and her even worse half clearly don't like dogs. I predict that if she had to "interact" with any of the youth there in Baltimore at this event, her body language would be very much the same as it was next to Conan the Dog - disdain and distance.

It makes me so sad that under the Trump regime we have all stooped to this level of discourse.
The vehemence and hate that this regime has stirred up is so unseemly. Part of me is glad they are booed when they go out of their bubble, but another part regrets the anger, hate and nasty feelings that are encouraged by our conflicts.
