... hate and or lies. Because of the removal of the fairness doctrine for the past 30+ years
America has been overwhelmed with ugliness that has told millions that the Clintons were
the enemy, and being smart and kind like the Clintons showed some kind of character flaw.

Have journalists and pundits taken responsibility and apologized yet for having helped elect Trump?

How about for having missed the biggest story in a generation (malicious interference by a major adversary in an American presidential election) because they were chasing down leads on "troubling optics" and conspiratorial health questions?

They need to take responsibility and apologize.
