Why do Canadians have more anxiety about their health than us?

https://www.axios.com/nervous-angry-rich-countries-90036353-9758-42f4-95a9-7340cebfdc10.html

The table there has been bugging me for months now.

The stronger a country's safety net is, the more anxious and resentful its citizens feel. It's ludicrous that Canadians feel greater anxiety about health and access to care than people in the US do.

The gilets jaunes are going to be out again tomorrow and they seem like the perfect example of this. Gasoline is cheaper than when Macron took office but somehow they are enraged about the gas tax.

It's almost like we manufacture problems when we don't have them.

Jealousy is part of the root of this. Suspicion is fed by that jealousy.

Years ago a college project was to ask things like "If Welfare is a problem, how does it hurt you more than it helps those who receive it."

The answers were always a mix of pure bullshit and a fear that the undeserving were getting over.

"Why are they undeserving?" brought forth the most bullshit, and one wondered if they really believed what they were saying or just trying to excuse their selfishness.

Somewhere there must be articles by psychologists, sociologists, or other "-ologists" whose job it is to understand these things.
