The movie is an hour too long though and seems like self indulgent reminiscing by the director, it really really drags at times and seemingly for no reason but unwillingness to edit out long, useless and boring scenes.

it needed a lot of editing. I stuck with it and it was worth it, but it can be a slog at times.

DeNiro was good, Pesci was wonderful, and I did love the child star that played Peggy. She could have a future, she is so expressive, without speaking.

But it was Pacino who really impressed me. I felt like I was watching Jimmy Hoffa, he captured him perfectly.

There will be several Oscar nominations, no doubt.

It's fascinating but ultimately sorrowful.

We're watching it in segments. It stays with you even after you're not watching it.

I'm sure there will be many well-deserved awards.
