Although I saw a huge Trump 2020 sign at a home

I won't put up a presidential sign in the primary. I have one up for a Constable and a County Commissioner candidate.

Our Democratic constable was corrupt and she was replaced by an interim constable. (The interim can't run in the election) There are like 29 candidates for Constable. I'm a precinct chair and have been following them. There is one who is decent. The rest seem a like a bunch of blowhards.

I don't know -- in the past, I've never worried about putting up campaign signs but, given the climate of lawlessness and vigilantism that the MAGAts seem to have embraced, I'm genuinely worried about the possibility that displaying a yard sign supporting someone other than "God's anointed" might result in a fire being started or a few shots fired at my house. Even during the depths of the Dubya maladministration, I never thought there was even a remote chance of that happening.

Some of the racist scum have been hyper-enabled and triggered by the foul-mouthed ignoramus who is the current anointed occupant.

I think that there are a ton of people who think the same way you do. I live in a republican area and I don't think this year I would put a bumper sticker on my nice car for fear it would be "keyed" or a sign in my front yard for fear of being targeted........

I even felt that fear in the Cheney/Rumsfeld administration and didn't do bumper stickers or yard signs until Obama ran.

Then again, when it was Clinton vs asshole, I wouldn't do bumper stickers or yard signs for fear of retribution......
