White House Throws A Tantrum Over Devastating Impeachment Report

White House Throws A Tantrum Over Devastating Impeachment Report

The White House responded to a report that laid out hundreds of pages of evidence against Donald Trump by throwing a tantrum about Adam Schiff.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement provided to PoliticusUSA, “At the end of a one-sided sham process, Chairman Schiff and the Democrats utterly failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing by President Trump. This report reflects nothing more than their frustrations. Chairman Schiff’s report reads like the ramblings of a basement blogger straining to prove something when there is evidence of nothing.”

Anyone who reads even a few pages of the report will quickly understand that it is not the ramblings of a “basement blogger,” but a thoroughly complied and extremely detailed case that Donald Trump committed several impeachable offenses while he was running his months-long scheme to extort Ukraine into investigating Joe Biden and a debunked Russian propaganda conspiracy theory.

The only rambling basement blogger in this situation is Donald Trump on Twitter.

The decision by the administration to continue to attack Adam Schiff tells the American people all that they need to know about Trump’s guilt.

The White House won’t produce witnesses or documents, and nowhere in the Press Secretary’s statement is there any dispute about the facts.

Impeachment is about Donald Trump, not Adam Schiff, and the administration’s reaction to this report is evidence of Trump’s guilt.

The investigation revealed the nature and extent of the President’s misconduct, notwithstanding an unprecedented campaign of obstruction by the President and his Administration to prevent the Committees from obtaining documentary evidence and testimony. A dozen witnesses followed President Trump’s orders, defying voluntary requests and lawful subpoenas, and refusing to testify. The White House, Department of State, Department of Defense, Office of Management and Budget, and Department of Energy refused to produce a single document in response to our subpoenas.

Ultimately, this sweeping effort to stonewall the House of Representatives’ “sole Power of Impeachment” under the Constitution failed because witnesses courageously came forward and testified in response to lawful process. The report that follows was only possible because of their sense of duty and devotion to their country and its Constitution.

Nevertheless, there remain unanswered questions, and our investigation must continue, even as we transmit our report to the Judiciary Committee. Given the proximate threat of further presidential attempts to solicit foreign interference in our next election, we cannot wait to make a referral until our efforts to obtain additional testimony and documents wind their way through the courts. The evidence of the President’s misconduct is overwhelming, and so too is the evidence of his obstruction of Congress. Indeed, it would be hard to imagine a stronger or more complete case of obstruction than that demonstrated by the President since the inquiry began.

The damage the President has done to our relationship with a key strategic partner will be remedied over time, and Ukraine continues to enjoy strong bipartisan support in Congress. But the damage to our system of checks and balances, and to the balance of power within our three branches of government, will be long-lasting and potentially irrevocable if the President’s ability to stonewall Congress goes unchecked. Any future President will feel empowered to resist an investigation into their own wrongdoing, malfeasance, or corruption, and the result will be a nation at far greater risk of all three.

a novel for kids to read and do a book report on. I'm not talking "War and Peace," just grade appropriate novels. There is absolutely no reason a kids can't read a book a quarter. Everything does not have to be a textbook.

Novels teach ethics, morals, and opposing viewpoints that, in most cases, kids would not hear or come across unless through reading a novel. Also, parents become aware of novels their children's required reading and they, too, learn ethics, morals, and other viewpoints. Or they storm the libraries to pull the novels they do not "agree" with, making those novels get checked out of the library.

JK Rowling saved novels for the next generation or two, but i understand that Scholastic and other publishers are hunting high and low for the next Harry Potter. No author/character has broken through, yet, for this generation.

I've read comments on Harry Potter being so millennial, but tell me that kids didn't learn that it's okay to quibble with your friends and still remain friends, loyalty, courage, puberty, things don't always go your way, etc. Joann brought it all.

Pendejo45's Press Secretary didn't deny that all this didn't happen,
they only complained about Adam Schiff and the process.

If you don't understand what that is, look up the movie "All The President's Men"
Here is the scene with the explanation.

Normally, a statement from OUR White House would be considered important and relevant. It would be expected to be based on something factual and reflect a much higher level of standards, intelligence and even honor.

Even if we didn't particularly like the Administration, or completely disagreed with the statement, we could still interact and respond with some level of understanding and mutuality.

I have to say that this current Administration has lost its credibility completely now. It's responses are hardly worthy of being news and the POTUS and his sycophants have lost all credibility and worth. I can no longer even entertain what is being generated as an official representation of the United States Government at this point, so I give a vote of NO CONFIDENCE!!!!!!!

This is like having a fake White House in a bad movie, but it is certainly no example of governing or a fulfillment of the oath of office or the honor and duties that accompany it.

That's my official statement on the matter.
