Bill Clinton was impeached because he

lied! Why can't/won't anyone ask - why hasn't Trump testified...we all know it's because he will LIE! The Dem committee members need to bring that FACT into this hearing. Why won't Trump testify?

Trump could be baited into testifying under oath, his ego is too large. Call for it publicly and call him a chicken, there is no way he could resits, he's literally incapable of not taking the bait.

finally found something. They were not going to stop until they found something to impeach him for.

Did he lie? Yes. It was his own damn fault that he gave them the particular reason which they ultimately latched onto.

But the GOP started with the conclusion and persisted in looking backwards until they found a reason to justify it. If it had not been that thing, it would have been another. We know this because after the Whitewater thing fizzled out without taking the Clintons down, they followed every rabbit trail they could find until finally the Troopergate-sparked Jones v. Clinton led to Lewinsky-lies and finally they had the reason to justify the conclusion they began with.

what he is saying. Not to mention everything he said dealt with bribery and it was completely unclear what could meet his very ill defined definition.

Lying under oath is serious, lying to the media or in tweets - not so much. However, I think he did lie to Mueller in his responses - and they were under oath and others in his administration have lied to Congress and that is a crime.

The Whitewater Report from Ken Starr mentions Whitewater only a handful of times.

pretty much non-stop since he took office and Vince Foster killed himself, which was damn near his entire Presidency. And Clinton AFAIK largely cooperated with investigation after investigation. I think that Republicans in Congress even launched one final investigation AFTER he left office when George W. Bush aides began insinuating that Clinton aides trashed the WH on their way out, which also proved false. So, all the Republican boo-hooing over investigations of Trump is just totally ridiculous.
