Beating Trump 101: Cripple his ego

Joe Biden's ad showing world leaders mocking Trump is perfect in every way:

1. Created and trafficked in real-time, coinciding with the news cycle which amplifies buzz and reinforces the narrative that Trump is really weak.
2. Exposes Trump as an embarrassing joke - using the perspective of global leaders who transcend domestic partisanship and divisions.
3. Explains the damage to the American "brand" in the only way TV viewers understand --showing it on the screen like a climatic scene out of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Dissing on the world stage is more compelling to watch than domestic late night TV snark. This sort of ad attracts eyeballs and keeps them hooked.
4. Demoralizes his supporters who feel emboldened by the bully. When the bully finally gets his comeuppance, his minions and sidekicks scatter because they now recognize a new power structure that locks them out. The spineless are going to have to find another place to hide.

Each punch to his ego hobbles his campaign's ability to paint a picture of strength and bravado. He's been knocked off his stride by a rival he considers a patsy. A barrage of hits, or a series of bruising hits over time, will ultimately knock him out.

Many who have studied this turkey and written books about him say his primary obsession is with winning and at any cost, and that he cannot stand to be seen as a loser. This is the way to get him to implode.

* border wall => loser.
* mistreatment of migrant children => loser.
* revised healthcare plan => loser.
* massive infrastructure improvement program => loser.
* deal with North Korea => loser.
* tax cuts for working Americans => loser.
* working Americans paying billions in product import tariffs => loser.
* constant lying to the American public => loser.

We need to use that word against him until America pukes from hearing it........

Fri Dec 6, 2019, 04:57 PM
Dec 2019

One of the first things I learned when my husband's business partner (a psychologist) told me that hubby was a pathological narcissist is that a narcissist will do anything to DESTROY those who stop providing flattery that is known as "narcissistic supply." They never do acknowledge the pathology; never do feel remorse or anything but the drive to NOT be accountable for their actions. They are conniving, manipulative and sometimes sadists.

This has played out over my lifetime, many years married many years divorced. Interestingly enough, he recently passed and even the passing has created tumult and division in the family. Some who were abused by him have moved into a kind of Stockholm syndrome now, creating a life story that is simply false and wipes out the abusive chaotic reality we all lived.

And so I don't see any possibility of self-awareness happening to Trump. If circumstances render him penniless and powerless, he will still have grievance as his ace card. The victim.

I think it was Steve Schmidt who used the term.

Every freaking day his sycophants and family find something to whine about. Kellyanne. Don Jr. Eric today! All of them claiming victim status for him and themselves.

And if you take a walk around his FB page and twitter, you will see that millions of minions are totally bought in on this narrative. They defend him because "he's fighting for us" against unprecedented attacks. They profess to LOVE him because we meanies hate him.

History tells us what he is, and what his supporters are captured by. Let's make this his time in the barrel, but find a way to stop this adoration.

It describes the hate, the venality, the pettiness and cruelty more aptly.

Mean Girls is their weapon of first choice on offense.

The victimization schtick is a defensive tactic -- and it only works in combination with a Mean Girls offense.

Neutralize the offensive, and all they got left are whimpering, whiny losers which is the opposite of the Trump brand.

Each punch to his ego hobbles his campaign's ability to paint a picture of strength and bravado. He's been knocked off his stride by a rival he considers a patsy. A barrage of hits, or a series of bruising hits over time, will ultimately knock him out.

Most of his strategy is built on a perceived image. He loves to try to appear strong but nothing he does is anywhere close to strong! It's all about the image.

Remember back in the Bush administration, Karl Rove would always go after their competitor's strength & tear that down first. With fat Donnie, his strength (if he has one) is his image of strength & of course his huge ego! If we constantly make him look like a fool & a weak person, he'll fall pretty easily & his fans will clearly see it whether or not they want to believe it!

Great strategy!

Here's proof: the only time any of the democratic candidates go viral is when they go attack - not on strength of policy, but on strenght of personality.

I'm thinking of "don't mess with me" Nancy, and "you're a damn liar" Biden. Or Kamala Harris' "...that girl was me."

Identifying with a strong personality is something we all do, even those of us who prefer to focus on serious policy.

The only way to get the rubberneckers to look away from the Trump TrainWreck is to create a bigger wreck on the other side of the road. It's time to bring it.
