Although German justice has a tendency to arrest people for almost anything, and then let them go two hours later unless they have committed felony littering or armed robbery. Unarmed robbery, and they'll let you off with a warning, even if you stole $10 billion in cash from the national bank. If all you did is steal the life savings of the little old lady next door, they probably even give you a free lift home. The criminal justice system is weird here.
