What the MSM and Democrats won't ever state openly.
I'll say it again, we aren't simply dealing with people who have a different view on the role of the federal government or tax rates. We are dealing with horrible, horrible, horrible people. The likes of the Trump Klan, Collins, Nunes, Jordan, Barr and so many others are just awful people. They lie constantly--CONSTANTLY! They cheat. And they are actively doing all they can to harm people and planet, while enriching themselves.
Lastly, have I mentioned that they're horrible people? If not, let me be clear, they are horrible people.

11. Welcome to DU Talon IV
Maybe a recognition of their own anecdotes when they failed to be kind, generous, obedient, practice gratitude, and have a tolerance toward rehabilitation than the consequence of locking them up, times when their effort in hard work in and for others didn't work out as well as they'd hoped.
MSM and Dems believed they had benefited from those "good people" values. I mean, obviously the GOP has many that have failed to bond with those American values in community and family. As the OP said, they're horrible people and very much like the fame and adulations gained from attention, even negative attention, as much as any juvenile delinquent of middle school age. Adult parents today, it would seem, have trouble with kids "acting out," and opt to either choose to ignore the bad behavior or practice "tough love" to the extreme. Result: we got Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, Adam Lanza, and James Holmes, and so many more horrible people. What to do with these adult horrors of behavior that go so far as to threaten our nation's security when they've once and long ago benefited themselves with their once good skills, riches, great educations that they've twisted to what now claims their lusts like oil dollars and golden trophies of fame are a very touchy subject considering "innocent (NOT) until proven guilty. MSM can't make those judgment calls because they'll get called out on making judgment calls to influence, and Dems are rationale and always looking for the answer, the solution, going about their responsibilities that include overcite. What to do when they find horrible adult people - ![]() I'm with Nancy - go where it will - the guts to follow the rule of law under the constitution, for all its ambiguousness and flexibility of choice, and the faith that offers a safe place of consequence, penance, and forgiveness for times I don't do well. Put one step in front of the other after great thoughtfulness and MOVE FORWARD in a way one can live with - horrible people just don't do that; they've moved the markers of what they can live with and twisted every beneficial folded prion in their brain cells to delinquent self-interest and irresponsibility. I'm counting on them reaping the whirlwind of consequences. |

3. There are no more "moderates" whatever that means these days
Back in the day there were some that I could disagree with but respected. The differences were about the role of the federal government, tax rates and other policy issues. Now they are all just bold faced liars, and also batshit crazy. And yes, the corporate media will never use the L word. Oh yeah, and this goes down to the state and local level too.

13. Actually, I think most Democrats
are moderate. The MSM and The GOP think people like AOC and Sanders are Far Left Socialists. Looking at it from world viewpoint, they are moderately left, the rest of the Dems are dead in the center, or even slightly right of where we were 50 years ago. The GOP however drove off the right side of the scale. They are so far right you can barely see them.
Before Reagan, I would say over half of all Representatives were in the center, Dems and Republicans. The others leaned slightly to the left or right. The Dems have pretty much stayed planted where they were, but Reagan, the Christian Right, and the influence of the NRA drove a majority to the deep, dark Conservative side. They were also pushed right because the Dems thought that women, blacks and LGBT people were Americans and should be treated as such. The GOP was none to fond of the Civil Rights Acts or accepting of POC. |

30. That is a sobering list.
Basically they want to privatize government. Nothing for the people, everything for industry & those who own it. Corporations are the only non-living entity to have Constitutional rights just like living, breathing people, only some of their rights are amplified due to their wealth & longevity.
Reclaim Democracy's Corporate Personhood page. There's some really good reading here. Every conservative I've shown the Joe Conservative essay to, has not had a response when I ask them, "What in this essay are you opposed to? Standards for clean air & water? Standards for safe pharmaceuticals? Providing our kids with an education?" They are not as far right as hate radio has told them they are. |

He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised. All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor."....(more) |

I think, for what it's worth, that their goal is to stay in power even as they become the minority in their beliefs and outlook on life. Even though the majority of the country wants something different, they want zero regulations, zero taxes for the wealthy, and no safety net for those less fortunate.

So, when the media does its "both sides" shit and that gets ingrained in the public consciousness, Democrats and the few honest members of the media must consider being a lot more blunt about that with which we're dealing. It's not hyperbolic to say the future of our species is at stake.

Once that changed and uppity women, people of color, and the LGBT community started demanding equality and equity in the system, well, that representative government crap has got to go. Can't change the Constitution, at least, not easily, so they rigged the system in their favor. They already had an edge, being at the top of the food chain, so to speak, so it wasn't hard to do. They lied to the People, and even made laws that said that's okay to do. They created think tanks to craft their message and bought up radio stations to broadcast it and now 40% of the population would rather be a Russian than a Democrat. Ignoring hate radio was the stupidest thing the dems/left ever did.
The Republican Party has the power and influence to change the global narrative and lack of action on the climate crisis and they do nothing. Worse, they obstruct. I'm embarrassed and ashamed of people I know who still support this party. |
