QUESTION: Let's say -- the HOUSE Impeaches Trump & he is acquitted by the SENATE

IF TRUMP COMMITS MORE CRIMES. .... Say he drops bombs on Nova Scotia (just cuz he felt like it),
Slaughters 15 people with 2 guns who are standing around the oval office and sends 45 letters laced with ricin
to the Governor of Texas and Maine. 20 people die. Mike Pence helps him do all these crimes.

Can THEY BOTH IMPEACHED??? CAN TRUMP BE IMPEACHED AGAIN?

3. There's no legal reason Trump couldn't be

impeached again and, if facts warrant, MiniMe along with him. Practically speaking I don't believe you would ever get a majority voting for another impeachment, regardless of whatever Trump chose to do.

4. Yes, Johnson was impeached 3 different times which is what I think dems should do with Turmp

... and start the process of a court order getting Mulvaney et al to testify.

6. I believe he's done enough shit that even if the senate acquits him

He could be impeached AGAIN. Just different charge from the House (taxes maybe)

8. that is what i meant. he would not be removed from office cuz the senate said he was not guilty

so he would remain in office. if in the scenario i wrote in my op ..... he then could have MORE ..... NEW articles of impeachment lodged against him ... by the house.

7. There is no double jeopardy

Also, it would be new crimes. So double jeopardy wouldn't apply.

9. Does anyone here really believe Trump will be impeached?

We need what? 15+ Senators to break rank? Fools gold there. You may not get a single Rep to jump ship and at least 1 or 2 Dems will probably be against impeachment.

it's a dog and pony show at this point. YES, I agree we should proceed against this criminal President, but no way it gets through the Senate.

10. We need a lot of Republicans to absent themselves that day

The Constitution says a conviction in an impeachment requires two-thirds concurrence of those senators who are present when the vote is taken. With the number of Democrats we have, if there are no more than 63 total senators in attendance we can kick him out of office and hand him over to the New York Attorney General with absolutely no Republican votes.
