I sometimes find it a bit worrisome

That some people are fixated on Donald Trump, as if he is the sole reason for all American ills and that removing him will return us to some Utopian life (that never existed anyway). The real threat are those who elected him and those who support him i.e.: Conservatives/Republicans. THEY are the real threat. They are the reason we are dealing with a complete lack of social empathy. They are the reason that corporatism has become a societal model instead of just a business one. Please remember that the GOP and their mentality are responsible for where we are today, and to even remotely think that it is all down to one person is a scary prospect. PLEASE do not forget that it was that party who is being repeatedly shown to be the evil in our midst... not just one bloated rich guy.

We have to remove the guy who famously said that since we have nukes, why can't we use them?

In 2020, we need to vote Dem across the board. Trump is destroying our country, because the Repubs enable and protect this budding dictator.

The whole thing is a bad dream.

But Trump's the one sitting in the WH. He must be impeached. We also need to vote his co-conspirators out of office. I think, in the end, we'll find it really was treason. If we ever get his tax returns, they will tell quite a story.

...and less time on DT. If we flip the Senate, there is no way he’ll get re-elected. Perhaps it’s all part of a bigger plan, but personally speaking, we should spend 70% of our efforts on the Senate, and 30% on DT.

If we get the Senate and keep the House, Trump is a gonner, even if he.does get re-elected. Plus, we will have control of Congress to roll back Republican destruction of the past decades.

Any Republicsn strategist worth his/her graft paycheck eill know this, too, so the Senate battle will not be easy. But we must commit ourselves to it.

If we take the Senate and keep the House, we can impeach him again. So, it could be like a two part impeachment. However, he could have us embroiled in WW3 before then.

We should generate a massive voter turnout just to make sure we tried everything. And trying everything includes Part One of The Great Impeachment. Which means we have to bring to light the evil that is the Trump regime.

...and get a huge voter turnout, the White House will perhaps follow suit. And I actually think it will be easier to flip the Senate than to defeat Trump. I know a lot of Republicans who hate Moscow Mitch, but will likely vote for Trump again. Such is the schizophrenic nature of politics here in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Then cut off all of the slimy, quivering pseudopods. (Talkin' 'bout you, Mitch, and you Lindsey, and all you little pisants mouthing off lying talking points to save the criminal-traitor in the White House -- yes, Gaetz, and Jordan, and Collins, and Meadows, and the rest of you pathetic excuses for human beings -- like Elise Stefanik, Marsha Blackburn, Louie Gohmert, Brian Kemp, John Kennedy (!!) -- shoot, I could go on and on because the pseudopods are legion and their slime is threatening to engulf every single right and freedom for which America and Americans used to stand.)

The work really just begins with the never-my-president's removal, but it is important that it only begin there.

It is supremely important that it not end there.

All disloyal Republicans (a redundancy of sorts), sycophantic leeches on the body politic, absolutely must be dealt with, voted out of office, challenged for their lies and cowardice, and either removed from public office or rendered ineffectual as whiney, mendacious representatives of a shrinking political movement.

He is a symptom but he is also a major lightning rod for right-wing hatred. He continues to stir up the hatred on a daily basis and never lets them cool off. He is their Messiah and they follow his wishes and hate who he wants them to hate.

It's true that there are many horrible, hateful politicians and right-wing individuals out there, but Donald Trump has been the catalyst who has brought them to be such a malignant force in society.

Democracy was invented as a way for people of different genetic/political proclivities to live together without so much killing. Some issues arise in life that just lend themselves to bi-polar thinking (conservative/liberal, theistic/non-theistic, etc.), and democracy is just a way to reach compromises that both sides can, literally, live with. People are roughly divided into three genetic camps (this is not a fact, but an educated guess): conservative personalities (30%), liberal personalities (50%), and Mixed (20%). Republicans seem to have lost, or are losing, the concept that democracy was invented to allow us to live together peacefully. This is shown every day by Fox News, AM radio, and their policies. They do this at THEIR peril (and ours, but mostly theirs). I hope WW2 proved this. Democracy was invented to avoid having to kill assholes.

I guarantee you that, if we don't counter it strongly, the dominant post-Trump narrative will not be to our benefit. It'll be all about how "things are back to normal," as if that's a good thing. It'll be about how the Republican Party is a fine and upstanding party that simply got temporarily hijacked. Mark. My. Words.

I have little patience for Democrats who insist there are many "really good Republicans." No, there aren't. And saying that there are won't get them to vote Dem.

I go one step farther to say something not many agree with. As much as tRump needs to be removed right now, he needs to be removed not because of his personal power but because he is the demigod set up by the rw to achieve their goals. He's nothing compared to those who manipulate him in the GOP and among the oligarchs. He is an idiot that can be used. He's never shared the positions that the GOP are promoting; he didn't even know what they were. He promotes what they feed him. He's an empty, narcissist, echo chamber. Is he dangerous? Yes absolutely, but the GOP will discard him in a moment once he's finished his usefulness. Right now the big move they're waiting for like vultures is to fill another SCOTUS seat. That and a few more details and they will have accomplished their coup. It's just as important if not even more to get the GOP out of congress as it is getting rid of tRump. Getting rid of tRump will help that process.

We must peek behind Trump's big row of American flags and velvet stage curtain.

The real foundation behind tRump and all those we label "Republican" are a relative small group of invisible ultra-wealthy plutocrats, oligarchs and dictators who believe because of their wealth, they have the right to control our societies and earth's resources. We're spending all our time beating up their sales force and messengers for a very bad product.

In an abstract way, we all fund Republicans, UK's Tories, and all other right-wing factions with profits from most everyday purchases. These monies go into pockets of extremely wealthy owners, investors and officers of corporations who willingly fund GOP political campaigns, dozens of right-wing think tanks, deceptive product advertising and right-wing media such as News Corp. (Fox) and hundreds of talk radio stations. They are virtually invisible and remain untouchable, yet control much of our everyday lives and many functions of government at all levels because of their far-reaching influence. It is a dark web that envelops us all.

No better examples of this group just in the USA would be Rupert Murdoch (News Corp), the Waltons (Walmart), Sheldon Adelson (Las Vegas Sands Corporation) and the Koch brothers (Koch Industries) and they are the most visible of hundreds like them world-wide. They and others like them literally own the GOP and are its brains. They are responsible for completely brainwashing millions of citizens of all stripes and do it with our money. Their minds are rotten with corruption that seems to come with excessive wealth and in our world, wealth equals power. Their philanthropy is just throwing the dog a bone and represents another element of control.

For perspective, we must ask ourselves "how much time do we spend pounding on those four groups who are the root of our democracy's problems vs their minions like Trump, Rush Limbaugh and Devin Nunes?". Trump and all other front-line right-wingers are their well-paid messengers whose job it is to maintain the charade with a massive campaign of deception, lies and fear mongering along with a healthy dose of faux religion representing a god of their invention.

This is why it makes sense that there's little dissension within the GOP and that it is a sin to criticize any public GOP official. They keep it all within their family and behind that curtain.

So long as we have massive (and worsening) income and asset inequality around the globe, this is the reality we live in.

KY rant done.......
