"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding."

Trump on Rudy and the Ukraine? “[Giuliani] has a lot of good information...I have not spoken to him about that information yet, but I hear he has found plenty.” (Total and complete bullshit.) Close, but not quite.

It’s the same LYING routine, but the above subject-line quote is Trump NINE years ago, doing his repugnant birtherism act against President Obama. 45 can dish it out by the hogshead, but he folds like a wet newspaper when he’s the subject of a very REAL investigation. Karma bites HARD.

Trump sends investigators to Hawaii to look into Obama
CNN April 7, 2011

Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama’s birthplace that he’s sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.

That’s according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover “one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond.”

“I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they’re finding,” Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.

Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, “Absolutely.”

... because they weren't finding anything.

That, and they couldn't believe they traveled all that way just to get stiffed by Trump when they got back.

"Make it true by selling it"

He told Forbes he was a billionaire. It was a huge lie. Forbes published it without any research. Then Trump went around bloviating about Forbes has him listed as a billionaire and used it to get his foot into doors.

If not for that he'd be a failed Amway salesman living in a shed.

his own survival, though. He came up with nothing aboyt Obama because there was nothing to get. But he didn't even try to fake birther proof. He just wanted to plant an idea that his followers would believe. Nothing at stake for him then.

This time I think he's doing more than conspiracy talk. I think Rudy's job is to bring back filmed interviews/statements from Ukraine to use as evidence. It will be phony, but will look or sound credible enough to give the Senate reason to acquit. House Dems will have to punch holes in it. There is too much at stake for Trump to rely on bluff.words alone. Rudy will provide fake evidence.

he wasn't extorting zelansky to do an honest investigation, but to come up wit anything that could be ginned up to discredit niden and the "deep state."

I think he is about to ditch zelansky after the Normandy talks anyway.

twi pronged. First to defend Trump with the claim that investigating Ukraine and witholding aid were valid actions due to corruption. Second, to discredit Biden with phony proof of Biden corruption regarding Burisma. My guess is that the 'proof' will be in the form of filmed or signed statemenrs from Ukrainian officials about Biden corruption. They will turn the Senate proceedings into a trial of Biden.

I"m basing this on reports that Rudy is in Ukraine to make a documentary on corruption there, and on the defense angle used in the.House hearings. I know that we have good teams to counteract this spin and that's a good thing because they will need to be sharp and quick about debunking the BS. The Senate and likelyJustice Roberts will be following rules that make the Trump defense easier.

There's Still No Evidence That Trump Sent Investigators To Hawaii To Dig Up Dirt On Obama

When ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked him about the investigators later that month, Trump refused to say what they had found.

“It’s none of your business right now,” he said. “We are going to see what happens.”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper also confronted him about the investigation that month.

“Can you name even one person who your investigators have talked to?” Cooper asked.

“I don’t want to do that right now,” Trump said. “It’s not appropriate right now.”

Americans are coming to blows over this moron and the high-octane insanity he’s generated and enabled.

I suspect a *few* (and only a few) Republicans are “riding the tiger”— they don’t like being strapped to him, but they fear the clawing they’ll get by dismounting. They may silently dislike Trump, and maybe even think he has committed “high crimes,” but are afraid that the far-right whack-jobs (that 45 has “weaponized”) will exact retribution. So they stay saddled, but without comment.

Regardless, their silence is in itself a major offense. In fact, the lawless Republican Party at large is responsible for this travesty.

The Republican disinformation team will be hyperventilating from all their lying, dodging, and desperate clinging to the false narrative of the alternative universe in which Trump and his supporters exist. (And which has split America in two.)
