I assume that you mean that the Senate's vote to acquit/convict should be a secret vote.

That is unacceptable.

Every Senator, whether Democratic, Republican or Independent, should have to go on the record. Let them own their votes.

The evidence against Trump's malfeasance is overwhelming. It is clear and indefensible. In fact, Trump and his supporters haven't even tried to mount a defense BEAUSE THEY KNOW HE'S A CRIMINAL.

This is a crucial moment in our history and it must not be hidden in any secret votes. It's do or die time.

If he is removed from office, the Senate also needs to vote to prohibit him holding any public in the future. In my opinion, getting rid of Trump and his Russian associates is too important to let a public vote stand in the way.

is disqualified from any federal office thereafter. Article I, Section 3 [7]. Whether the Senate could impose such a law concerning states or localities would surely end up in the Supreme Court, but Trump would never stoop to such positions anyway.

the vote were secret. But they were too scared to vote against Trump publicly.

I think once a few show the courage to go against Trump, the proverbial floodgates will open and many Senators will join in, and their numbers will give them cover. Threatening 30 Senators is way different than threatening 3.

Trump the Destroyer has emboldened cowards who play warriors and terrorists behind their keyboards in order to intimidate and terrorize others.

Yes, there is concern for follow through and that's always an issue, especially with the caliber and low-level form of intelligence that many in his base exhibit. I fear some of them are just too dense to think through the repercussions of their inane and hate-filled threats made publicly, actually.

I pin the incentive for this on our stochastic terrorist in chief. He has been throwing out signals to his base and inciting the loyalists, (which are the most fundamentalist MAGAts) who worship him to more hatred and potential violence than I think I have ever seen public figure, (let alone the POTUS) do in my entire lifetime.

When your constituents are making bold threats towards your safety in order to influence your decision making rather than just writing, calling to express your disagreement, or protesting at least, you have some major problems in your party and the malignancy is spreading from the White House.

While they consider the potential danger that the crackpot MAGAts spew, they should also be aware as to who instigates it and how they are complicit in this phenomena. They, IMHO, own this.

If you threaten to assassinate a government official, you lose your voting rights and your Second Amendment rights - FOR LIFE.

If you then hold or possess a gun at any time after that, you go to prison - FOR LIFE.

Little Joe up there can just stand and watch as the Evil Government throws his guns in the back of a dump truck and hauls them off to be melted.
